Was looking for one with a full zip. It’s perfect!
Very impressed by the quality of the material. Too long though in my view. I ordered a large. I’m 6-1.
Original review on 9th Dec:
This order has been placed on 15th Nov. Paid substantial sum of money. It said it will be delivered by 21st Nov. The last update of tracking information was on 21st Nov. It is 9th Dec today. It is still not delivered. I sent numerous messages to the seller. No response whatsoever. Not happy. Not happy at all.
Review update on 16th Dec:
Another week has passed. It is 16th Dec now. According to the tracking information, the order was supposed to be delivered on 21st Nov. I wrote numerous messages to the seller over any conceivable channel (official e-mail address, reply to the order confirmation e-mail, contact form on their website, review here on the website on 9th Dec). I wrote numerous messages. But I have received not a single word. This is not how reputable business would behave.
Very well constructed and warm. Honestly do not know why this Alpha Direct is not more popular with hikers. My medium is 8 oz.
This is my third Alpha D upper layer/vest. I have also have 60 and 90 weight from other manufacturers. I particularly like this one because of the full length front zip. In my application I mix and match the three weights to get the level of insulation that I need. For sleeping in my tent I wear two (instead of a down upper bag). For hiking a wear one at the appropriate weight with or without a rain/wind shell. I am very weight sensitive, this 120 D is 9 oz, my other the 90 D is 7 oz and the 60 D is 4.5 oz. So, I chose what to take to minimize total pack weight. I find Alpha D much better than the heavier down because it sheds excess heat while still retaining enough heat when you need it.
